INTRODUCTION
This is the first of a series on Life, Living and Livelihood, the 3Ls, the blueprint for the Gatekeepers’ Discipling Process.
Our life in Jesus Christ is the foundation to the kingdom lifestyle of living out what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God in our lives, being able to trust God for everything including His provisions, protection, banner, healing, peace, sanctification and righteousness. In the world, those of the first Adam, who became a living being, are people whose livelihoods depend on the world.
For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Mark 8:36.
For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things. Luke 12:30
But we are of Jesus Christ, the last Adam who became a life giving spirit. Although we are no longer of the world, we have a calling in the world. We are heavenly citizens, dependent on the things of heaven, to bring God’s Kingdom into the world.
“I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.” John 17:14
For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. John 3:17
“He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.” John 12:25
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 1 John 2:15
For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. 1 John 5:4
One of the important things provided from heaven is God’s love and wisdom. It was God’s wisdom that we have close loving relationship with one another, to love one another as He loves us, and this close relationship is best developed through the discipling process.
